Reframe Aging Roundtable: Ageism Unmasked - This Chair Rocks

June 5 | 4:30-6pm | At CCHE

Facilitator & Partner: Care Partners of Cook County

Join us for an engaging discussion of This Chair Rocks by Ashton Applewhite at this month’s Reframe Aging roundtable. We’ll explore the complex issues surrounding aging, from debunking myths about later life to challenging the ageist attitudes that shape our society. Together, we’ll discuss how we can transform perceptions of aging and create a more compassionate and realistic approach to growing older.

Whether or not you’ve read the book, we invite you to drop in and be part of an open, lively conversation about aging and how we can shift the narrative.

In This Chair Rocks, Ashton Applewhite, with humor, insight, and thorough research, shares her journey from apprehensive boomer to passionate pro-aging advocate. She debunks common myths about aging and shows how we can all embrace the later stages of life with confidence and joy. This book will challenge your thinking, make you laugh, and inspire you to rethink what aging really means.
