Presenters:
James Hammer brings 13 years of experience as an entrepreneur and small business owner, owning and co-owning multiple companies in Minnesota. James and his wife Stacey moved to Grand Marais in 2020 with their two dogs, where they enjoy all things North and outdoors. Growing up James learned quite a lot about business from his uncles who were successful in various businesses throughout the Midwest. He has a solid understanding of the full spectrum of what business owners will experience and has a passion to help people achieve their dream of selling, buying, or starting a new business. He is direct and motivated in his work, and enjoys working with sellers and buyers every step of the way.

Steve Bragg has over 30 years of experience in business ownership and business brokerage. Operating the Arrowhead Office, Steve provides confidential, comprehensive services to northern Minnesota and western Wisconsin from Ashland to Lake of the Woods. Since June 2000 he has maintained the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association and is regarded as an "Industry Expert" for the restaurant/bar industry by the Business Brokerage Press. Steve is an aggressive marketer working with a large network of prospects, often selling "lifestyle" businesses to out of state buyers.

Nels Larsen is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has over 25 years of broad experience and knowledge that he puts to work for his clients. He held several positions at large public accounting firms, and was a financial analyst at a venture capital firm. Nels has a degree in Economics. Taking this broad experience, Nels founded Guidance Accounting LLC. His practice focuses on small businesses and their owners, providing tax planning and preparation, and bookkeeping with QuickBooks. Nels and his wife Jennifer Victor-Larsen split time between Saint Paul and Grand Marais, MN. They spend time planting trees, and enjoy sunrises and sunsets.
