Streamed - 2024 Overcoming Racism Conference
November 8 | 8:30am-12:30pm | At CCHE 

Attend anytime between 8:30am-11:25am to watch the streamed FREC 2024 Overcoming Racism Conference. The event will explore the impact of racist policies and practices on Black, Indigenous, and other Communities of Color across various sectors, focusing on potential steps toward healing and repair. Presentations will highlight ongoing efforts in Minnesota communities and invite participants to envision new possibilities for the future. After the streamed presentations, CCHE attendees can participate in a discussion.

There will be a free lunch provided by the First Congregational Church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and Spirit of the Wilderness. If you have any food sensitivities or preferences please bring your own brown bag lunch.

Streamed Speaker Bio's:
Rev. Jim Bear Jacobs: 
Jim Bear Jacobs was born in St. Paul, he is a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Nation, an American Indian tribe located in central Wisconsin. He is the Director of Community Engagement and Racial Justice for the Minnesota Council of Churches.

Rev. Pam Ngunjiri: Pamela Ngunjiri (pronounced go jeri) is a transplant to Minnesota by way of Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska and Portland, Oregon, where she was born. In addition to serving as co-director of racial justice, Pamela is the current pastor of St. James AME Church in St. Paul, MN
