Elder Abuse: How It Can Happen, How We Can Help
June 26 | Noon-1pm | At CCHE & Zoom
Presenters & Partners: Brenda Shafer-Pellinen with the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging and Minnesota Elder Justice Center & Care Partners of Cook County

For Elder Abuse Awareness Month, we will be joined by Brenda Shafer-Pellinen with the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging and Minnesota Elder Justice Center. This informative session will help us learn more about what elder abuse is, review definitions and statistics, recognize the common dynamics of abuse in later life, identify unique barriers that may exist for older adults seeking assistance, prevention and intervention strategies, and learn about available resources.  Learn what to look for and how to get help if you or someone you know might be a victim.

A light lunch will be provided for the first 20 guests who sign up for the in-person class. If you have any food sensitivities or preferences please bring your own brown bag lunch.
