What is MCN & What are Board Member's Fiduciary Responsibilities?
March 21 | 11:30am-1pm | At CCHE & Zoom
Presenters & Partners: Kelly LaCore & Jes Wysong of Minnesota Council of Nonprofits

What is MCN?
Did you know that Minnesota has the largest nonprofit association in the nation? Join Kelly LaCore and Jes Wysong, both a part of the membership team at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN), for a conversation about the services and resources that MCN provides to nonprofit organizations. Along with covering MCN resources, we’ll talk about the significance of having a strong state association and the work MCN is doing to provide information, support, and peer + public advocacy to nonprofits in Greater Minnesota.

Board Member Fiduciary Duties Refresher
Join us after “What is MCN?” to talk more about board of director service and official board member fiduciary duties. Board member duties and responsibilities are year-round, and board members play an important role in nonprofit organizations. We’ll cover basic board member duties, talk about what the word “fiduciary” means (it’s more than just fiscal responsibility!), and do a brief and general refresher on the three board member fiduciary duties.
