Lunch & Learn: Cook County Adult Protective Services - Myths & Facts
November 29 | Noon-1pm | FREE | At CCHE & Zoom
Presenters & Partners: Martina Johnson, Cook County Public Health & Human Services, Sherriff Patt Eliasen, and Care Partners of Cook County
We know that elder abuse happens everywhere – even in Cook County. What is less clear is when and how to report suspected abuse, and what happens next. Martina Johnson from Cook County Public Health & Human Services and Sheriff Pat Eliasen will help us learn what elder abuse is (and what it ISN’T), the scope of the issue in Cook County, the process for reporting, how our local authorities respond when a report is received, and what Adult Protective Services hopes to achieve.
Free lunch will be provided for the first 25 people who pre-register for the in-person class! If you have any food sensitivities or preferences beyond what is listed under registration please bring your own brown bag lunch.
