The Insect Crisis: The Fall of the Tiny Empires That Run the World

From ants bustling beneath piles of leaves to bees soaring higher than Mount Kilimanjaro, the presence of insects knows no bounds. In fact, a staggering three out of every four known animal species on our planet are insects. However, the latest findings indicate that this diverse and vibrant group of creatures is currently facing its most significant existential challenge over the course of its remarkable 400-million-year existence.

What lies behind the decline of the insect world? Does this plummet in their numbers present a threat to us? What measures can be taken to halt the loss of these miniature realms that play a crucial role?
