You wouldn't drink from a puddle. We instinctively know the immediate, tangible danger of dirty water, but we often treat the air inside our homes—where we spend roughly 90% of our time—as safe, despite data suggesting otherwise. This session will explore how to assess your home environment to identify risks like radon, particulates, and fumes, and to explore what you can do to reduce toxic exposures for you and your family.
As part of the Sustainable Housing Project education series, we will discuss building materials, methods, and ideas to make your home healthier. You will come away with practical strategies whether you want to improve your existing home environment or to consider if you plan to build.
