Join us for a daylong, deep-dive training on Restorative Practices with Youth led by Carlton County Restorative Justice.

Training topics will include youth development, the effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), awareness of our internal biases, and how to incorporate this knowledge into restorative work with youth.

Note - this is not a facilitation training. This training is intended for those who are interested in developing a more trauma-informed restorative approach to working with youth.

About the trainer: Carlton County Restorative Justice has over 15 years of experience facilitating restorative practices with youth. As a county-funded program, a majority of youth cases in Carlton County are diverted from the legal system to the Restorative Justice program. A 2022 program evaluation by the University of Minnesota found that Carlton County Restorative Justice has a 92% success rate with first-time referrals and from 2010-2022 created over a 1 million dollar benefit to society. You can learn more about the success of their program at https://www.carltoncountymn.gov/342/Media-News.

This training is made possible thanks to support from the Minnesota Office of Restorative Practices.
