Local farmers and producers look forward to this event every year as a time to connect, learn from each other, and get ideas for the next growing season. In the morning, we will welcome Marissa Schuh, Integrated Pest Management Educator with University of Minnesota Extension, for a hands-on workshop covering tools and tactics for vegetable farmers when dealing with insects, diseases, and weeds. Producers who attend will leave ready to go into the 2026 growing season with strategies to manage weeds effectively, knowledge of when bugs are worth dealing with, and what tools can help get it all done.
During the lunch hour (with tasty lunch provided!) producers will have the opportunity to network with each other and propose discussion topics for breakout sessions in the afternoon. The afternoon will feature casual breakout discussions for peer learning, as well as a resource information fair with local farmer groups and service agencies. We’ll wrap up the day with a seed swap opportunity: bring interesting seeds to share or recommendations for varieties that have worked well for you.
