Join the Northwoods Sustainable Housing Project for a community viewing of an online seminar on building with clay and local earth, hosted by the German organization Educational Workshop for Sustainable Development (Biwena). This seminar explores why working with the earth can be practical, ecological, and deeply connected to place. Participants are invited, but not required, to bring a small jar with a lid and about two handfuls of local soil they are curious about testing; this interactive element is meant to be both fun and genuinely useful for understanding whether your local soil might be suitable for building. The seminar will be streamed in English, and we will have some time at the end of the presentation to discuss Earth-based Construction.
